This is a stainless rendition of the brake proportioning valve heat shield used to protect brake fluid from overheating because of the left exhaust manifold/header. This was specifically designed for a-body big block applications but is a good idea for any application because of the increased under hood temperatures experienced with modern day fuels.

Replaces the factory piece on 67-69 Big Block A-body cars. Made of 304 stainless and is required to protect the brake proportioning valve from overheating because of the exhaust manifold location.
