E-body exhaust systems were designed to flow well without obnoxious interior resonation. The mufflers being installed at the rear causes the engine to be less sensitive to back pressure as in conventional exhaust systems. Resonators are located under the rear seat .Changing this factory configuration can cause both loss in performance and increased interior resonation in street applications.
